Best camping spots in Utah

With thousands of campgrounds, Utah’s camping options are endless. Whether you’re making a quick trip from Salt Lake City to camp in Albion Basin or heading to Southern Utah to spend a night under Zion’s Watchman, it’s hard not to find a lovely place to rest your weary head.

Beach Camping at Lake Powell

Just twelve miles north of Page, Lone Rock Beach is a great open beach where you can drive right up and make camp anywhere you like. There is a $10 fee to get on the beach and it can get a little busy during the summer, but it seems like you can always find a nice spot to call your own.

Camp at Little Grand Canyon

The Little Grand Canyon is one of Utah's secret places that rivals the state's national parks in its beauty and history. Check this place out but be careful, there's bad cell service, roads can be rough, summer is brutally hot and winter is miserably cold.

Camp in the Valley of the Gods

Discover the stunning and unique landforms of this humble valley in southeast Utah. A brilliant alternative to its touristy and pricey next door neighbor, Monument Valley, The Valley of the Gods will provide just as good if not better views, and allows for free camping at your choice of the dozens of spots along the 17 mile dirt road loop.
